Jen and Ian’s love for animals, especially cats, is evident. They have been offering temporary homes to cats in need, with a particular emphasis on older cats who require additional attention and care, for almost ten years. Even though they already have three cats, all of whom were previous fosters, they couldn’t resist adopting a small blind cat who had stolen their hearts.
During their visit to the animal shelter, the couple chanced upon a small kitten that had sight problems and was kept in a restricted area. The shelter staff shared that the little feline had a hereditary issue, which meant that it needed an operation to take out its eyes.
Jen stumbled upon a tiny cat with no eyes and scars on its face from surgery to remove them. The cat was all alone, trying to eat from a bowl with a cone around its neck for protection.
Veterinarians have revealed that a genetic condition was revealed in the young boy from birth, which called for an urgent medical intervention. To ensure his well-being and joy, they had to take out his eyes and seal the sockets to prevent infections due to malfunctioning and recurring eye infections. The couple decided to foster the cat and dubbed him Bop. With ease, the feline adapted to the new setting and did not feel any distinct from other cats.
Jen didn’t want to abandon the small cat due to his visual impairment, so she opted to bring him home with her. Even though the little furball was blind, he was as lively and frisky as any other kitten. However, Jen’s other feline pets were frightened of him and didn’t know how to act around him. Jen recalled that the shelter where she got the little cat also had his sibling Boop available for adoption. She decided to bring Boop home to be Bop’s companion and help reduce tension between the two feline buddies. Jen and Ian returned to the shelter to adopt Boop and create a caring atmosphere for their new furry household members.
Meet Boop, the friendly feline who enjoyed socializing with other cats. One of his favorite companions was his sibling, and they had a blast playing together. Although their owners considered giving them away after six months, they became too attached to the pair to part ways. Jen and Ian grew fond of Bop and Boop and chose to adopt them instead!
I’m thrilled to share the news that my pals have finally discovered a place to settle down! After an exhaustive search, they’ve stumbled upon a snug and comfortable abode that they adore. Witnessing their delight and contentment as they make themselves at home is truly touching.
