Scarlett Johansson is seeking advice on work-life balance as a parent. During an episode of The Skinny Confidential: Him & Her podcast, the actress spoke about how her priorities have changed significantly since becoming a mother to her two children. When asked about her hacks for achieving work-life balance, Johansson humorously responded that she is still searching for it and that if anyone figures it out, she would like to know. Although, co-host Michael Bosstick mentioned that becoming a parent has made him more focused with his time and that any time away from his children must be worth it.
Johansson acknowledged that having children shifts your perspective and helps you prioritize things in life. She believes that it becomes easier to make decisions when you have another priority apart from yourself. For instance, you can analyze a job offer based on how it would affect your family’s well-being. Even though Johansson is lucky enough to take her family with her on location, the experience is not always smooth sailing. She works long hours, which can be challenging for her children as they require stability. While it may be an exciting adventure for them, they also need a sense of routine and familiarity.
As my daughter grows older, my approach to work has changed. It’s not the same as when I was younger and solely focused on my career. Back then, my main priority was work, and personal growth took a back seat. Even as the highest-paid actress in the world, I still struggle with finding balance between work and life.
